Pickup is an Australia-based parcel shipping comparison platform serving Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. We connect NZ Post, Aramex, FedEx, TNT, UPS, AusPost, Pos Laju, DHL and other major global carriers, opening up enterprise-level shipping rates to every user.

Our Story

It started with a returned shipping label

When Pickup’s first founder was running a personal-shopper service for international students in Melbourne, the hardest part wasn’t sourcing — it was shipping. Every day meant bouncing between three separate AusPost, Aramex and FedEx dashboards, filling in addresses and manually comparing quotes. On international parcels, declarations, HS Codes and duties piled on even more homework. Then, in 2022, one international label with the wrong HS Code was turned away by customs and the goods were destroyed. That was the turning point that made us decide to build this.

What we wanted to do was simple: let an ordinary person ship like a big company. Big companies have carrier-rate negotiating power, dedicated customs teams and proper IT systems. Individual users are left to muddle through stacks of PDF terms on their own. Pickup packages all of that capability into a single website — you just fill in the address, measure the dimensions, tap pay, and we handle the rest.

Pickup is headquartered in Melbourne, built by a team with hands-on experience in cross-border e-commerce, logistics and software engineering across Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. Customer service, operations, engineering, finance and customs are all kept local — meaning you’ll reach a real human during AEST business hours, not an offshore time-zone bot.

On the carrier side, we maintain direct API integrations with NZ Post, Aramex, FedEx, TNT, UPS, Australia Post, Pos Laju, DHL and other major international and local logistics providers, negotiating rates and service terms at platform scale.

On the payment and user side, we’re integrated with ebaoguo for a shared multi-currency wallet and points system, giving cross-border shipments between Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Greater China a unified account experience. Combined with Airwallex payment processing, we support native-currency settlement in AUD, NZD and MYR to reduce FX losses.
